About the Event

East Coast Adventure in an “Adventure Mark” accredited activity centre and a “Royal Yachting Association” Training Centre. East Coast Adventure is also the official Mountain Bike Trail Provider for the world famous Rostrevor Mountain Bike Trails offering Northern Ireland only uplift service as well as bike hire and a multitude of Mountain bike skills training and courses.

The East Coast Adventure “Fast Track Instructor Programme” has been designed specifically for individuals wishing to pursue a career in outdoor adventure.

The course aims to initiate candidates into employment in the adventure industry, by providing a series of preliminary governing body recognised qualifications.

Qualifications and leadership awards will have a focus on cycle sport and Mountain biking but will also include kayak leadership, power boating and jet ski awards. Candidates will also have the opportunity to gain valuable experience assisting with the delivery of a wide range of activities under the supervision of expert coaches.

The Fast Track Instructor Programme is for anyone who wants to get into the outdoor adventure & leisure industry. This course can also be used to develop existing skills and qualifications.

- RYA Personal Water Craft certificate of Competence (Jet Ski Award)

- RYA Power Boat Level 2 Award

- British Canoe Union “BCU” 2 Star Kayak Award

- British Canoe Union “BCU” 4 Star Kayak Award

- Sea Kayak Navigation Course

- HSE – Child Protection Training and Assessment

- "ILM” Level 2 Diploma in Team Leadership

Follow signs to Kilbroney Forest Park on reaching Rostrevor. (LOCATION 5) Accommodation (Bunk House & Glamping Village) 00 44 (0) 28 417 38516 (Instructor Office on site at the Bunk House) Once in the village of Rostrevor take the Green Park Road to Lower Knockbarragh Road and we are 4 miles along this country road from Rostrevor Village.
