Man of Sperrin

Sunday, 20 May, 2018

About the Event

Man of Sperrin is the hardest 100km sportive you’ll ever do. Climbing Benbradagh, with its fearsome stretch of 27% gradient, is a feat in itself. Add The Birren, Slieve Gallion, Ballynagilly and The Brown Knowes and that’s 6,000ft of climbing, all covered in just 100km. Yes, it’s a festival of pain, but the scenery is wonderful!

If a sportive on flat roads no longer hold much of an appeal, maybe it’s time you took on a challenge that will test you to the absolute limit. With Man of Sperrin: Five Peaks, that’s a guarantee. We promise.

Four Peaks: Intermediate Level Entrant.

Not yet ready for the 27% gradient of Benbradagh? That’s OK. The Four Peaks challenge is still guaranteed pain. You can savour the splendour of the Sperrins without waking up at night with dread of ‘Big Ben’. That’s for another day.

Two Peaks: Entry Level Event.

Not just ready for the full Five Peaks challenge yet? No problem. Try our entry level route: Man of Sperrin: Two Peaks. With two demanding climbs and some spectacular views it might just whet your appetite to come back next year and have a crack at Benbradagh!
