Granite Challenge

AMH New Horizons, Ballydugan Industrial Estate, Downpatrick

Sunday, 4 October, 2020

08:00 to 15:30

About the Event

Action Mental Health are pleased to announce our annual Granite Challenge is back for it's 9th year on Sunday 4th October! The 55 mile cycle starts and finishes at our New Horizons site in Downpatrick and takes in the beautiful Mournes including Tyrella, Dundrum, Newcastle, Annalong, Silent Valley, Bryansford, Maghera & Clough!

All funds raised through registration and any additional donations will be used to support our Men's Shed projects in Downpatrick, Antrim and Enniskillen. Men's Shed is a wonderful projecting for men over the age of 50 to offer emotional support, socialising opportunities and a chance for them to learn new skills.

The Granite Challenge is not just about the funds raised, it is about encouraging as many people as possible to join us to stay active and support your own mental health. Having good physical health is extremely important in supporting positive emotional wellbeing.

So show us your pedal power and join us on Sunday 8th October in taking action on mental health. With all of us working together, we can drive change, smash the stigma surrounding mental ill-health and create a lasting, positive legacy of mental health in Northern Ireland for generations to come.

What to Bring

Yourself, your bike, cycling gear & water for on the route! Maybe a change of clothes for the end in case we have some typical Northern Irish weather.

Breakfast, tea stop and lunch will provided for all participants.
