About the Experience

Spring is arriving on Strangford Lough and with it the arrival of an array of seasonal wild food emerges from the land and water. Join Rory Martin of Strangford Lough Activity Centre and Clare McQuillan of Feasting on Weeds for a unique guide to the sights and flavour of the area. This special event is part of Northern Ireland Science Festival.

Rory will guide a paddle experience by kayak or open canoe sharing his expertise and experience of navigating the lough. Rory grew up on the shores of Strangford Lough and has a real affinity for the Lough. Learn some local history, spot the wildlife and improve your paddling skills. After that, we will stop off at an island where Clare will share the salty delights and unique taste of Strangford Lough.
