Services Offered

The Northern Ireland Association of Aeromodellers (NIAA) is the governing body for the promotion and development of aero modelling in N. Ireland, and is accredited as such by the Sports Council for Northern Ireland (SCNI). It is also the NI Area of the British Model Flying Association, which has 35,000 members throughout the UK, and we have close ties with the Model Aeronautics Council of Ireland. We have a an extensive Calendar of events throughout NI and through the year. Aeromodelling benefits from the latest technology, with very lightwieght batteries making electric powered models very practical and environmentally friendly. There are a myriad ov types of aircraft, which suit all pockets and range from Park Fliers to very highly specialised International class models. The BMFA have avery comprehensive Education Programme, with a Teacher's Pack and a range of very affordable small kits for Junior fliers.
