A visit to Derry~Londonderry wouldn't be complete without a trip to the beach and beaches don't get much better than the 7 mile stretch of sandy shore at Benone. Just 40 minutes from the walled city you'll find the sand and the sea and thanks to Long Line Surf School you'll also be able to appreciate the surf. Whether you're a complete beginner or more experienced surfer looking to improve your technique their team of instructors have it covered. Less than an hour from the city centre you will find The JungleNI which has quickly become one of Ireland's top outdoor centres. With forest segways, onsite glamping, paintballing and their speciality is zorbing, pragmatically described as climbing into a giant inflatable PVC ball and rolling down a hill- it's certainly an adrenaline rush you'll never forget. The Jungle is also home to Ireland's first Tree Top Adventure Course, this high wire activitiy course reaches heights of 60ft above the ground. Feel your knees wobble and watch your knuckles go white as you negotiate your way through 40 elements including zip lines, bridges, scramble nets, tunnels, tarzan swings and death defying powerfan descents sure to bring out the Tarzan or Jane in you! For the real thrill seekers Wild Geese Skydiving Centre offers a view of Derry~Londonderry from a whole new perspective, providing you keep your eyes open. A tandem skydive with an experienced skydiver from around 10,000ft is sure to get your adrenaline pumping.
