Top Tips for Family Fun in Belfast

Do something completely different and head over to Shaw's Bridge in South Belfast and take part in one of Mobile Team Adventure's canoe and kayak open sessions. They will provide you with everything you need to have a splashing good time on the water including all necessary equipment and expert tuition. If you prefer your feet on solid ground they also offer a range of family friendly activities including archery, climbing and orienteering providing the perfect opportunity for some action packed quality time together.

For fun activities the whole family can enjoy hop in the car and just 20 minutes from the city centre you will find Breckenhill Activity Centre where the choice is your's whether you want to take on the challenge of the low ropes cours, take aim during an archery session or scale the climbing wall to name just a few. 

If you and the kids love biking then the Barnett Demesne Mountain Bike Trails are a must. Situated very close to Shaws Bridge at Mary Peters Track the off-road trails are completely free to use and are a great place for a kid's day out together on the saddle without worrying about traffic. You'll forget you're anywhere near the city on these easy going green and blue trails ideal for families wanting to give mountain biking a go. Bike Hire is also available for ages 11 and up so you don't have to stress about fitting everything into the car!

Just a short drive up Belfast Lough you will soon arrive at Ballyhome Yacht Club and Sailing School where you can learn to sail under the instruction of your very own fully qualified instructor who will teach you the basics to confidently set sail in the bay.
